This week we mark International Women’s Day by celebrating women working in the Welsh countryside. Reporter Megan Williams hears from two Welsh para dressage riders who recently enjoyed success at the British Dressage Para Winter Championships in Lincolnshire. Loretta Joynson from Carmarthenshire and Elan Williams from Bala have taken very different routes into the sport, but both share a powerful partnership with their horses. Para dressage is the only equestrian discipline included in the Paralympic Games and offers competitive opportunities for disabled riders at many levels. We also hear from the woman responsible for looking after wildlife on some of Wales’ most iconic islands, finding out about the challenges and rewards of protecting these special environments. Plus, reporter Rhodri Davies discovers how a Welsh farmer has developed an AI-powered platform designed to help farmers manage the workforce on a modern farm.
