Some things aren't meant to last, and after releasing their 1987 album Tango in the Night, Fleetwood Mac began to fall apart. Despite being one of the biggest bands of all time, things were never particularly stable in this temperamental bunch of people, and the recording process for their 14th album made the fractured environment of Rumours look like a pleasant family gathering by comparison. But out of the chaos came some spectacular music, and one of the most striking records of the band's long career.
