UCL was founded to be a progressive alternative to Oxford and Cambridge, offering higher education to students regardless of their religion or, later, gender. It had the country's first student union - and it's alumni includes Alexander Graham Bell, Baroness Scotland and Ricky Gervais. So what has it achieve in it's first 200 years?
