Bucks told to build 95,000 more homes
Available for over a year
The target set by the government has to be met over the next twenty years. In a critical letter to Buckinghamshire Council, the housing minister Matthew Pennycook demanded a development scheme be published by 11th March 2026, with a view to submitting a revised local plan – to include the building of homes – by the end of the year. The BBC’s Andy Collins spoke to the Conservative leader of Buckinghamshire Council, Steven Broadbent, and to the Labour MP for Aylesbury, Laura Kyrke-Smith. Photo: Getty Images.
