Naga Munchetty is joined by Hayley Campbell and Ali Plumb to dissect the week’s biggest TV and streaming releases. This week the team review the Channel 4’s decade-spanning A Woman of Substance, based on the novel by Barbara Taylor. The series charts the rise of Emma Harte from Yorkshire maid to powerful 70’s businesswoman. But despite her success, she still wants revenge on the family she once worked for. Next up is Taylor Sheridan’s The Madison on Paramount+, the latest from the writer-producer’s ever-expanding Yellowstone’s universe. It centre’s on Michelle Pfeiffer’s Stacy and her Big Apple family coming to terms with their patriarchs death, and their sudden move from city-life to rural Montana. Last is crime thriller Scarpetta on Amazon Prime, featuring Nicole Kidman. The series is based on the Patricia Cornwall novels, and sees forensic pathologist Kay Scarpetta – played by Kidman – attempt to unmask a serial killer.
