Venezuela's interim president, Delcy Rodriguez, has signed a law that opens the country's oil industry to private investors. This reverses decades of tight state control. The move was demanded by the United States after it captured President Nicolas Maduro earlier this month. We have a report from Venezuela's decaying oil heartland. Donald Trump is weighing options for military action against Iran. It comes after widespread protests against the country's government. Human rights groups estimate thousands of protesters were killed by security forces, including Irans Revolutionary Guards, during weeks of unrest in December and January. We hear from one of the groups documenting what happened during the period of unrest. Senate Democrats have struck a deal with Republicans and the White House to pass spending bills for the remainder of the financial year.
