Israel says it 'acted alone' in strikes on Iranian gas field

Newsday

Available for 20 days

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump issued a typically strongly worded statement after attacks on a major gas field shared by Iran and Qatar the previous day. In a long post on Truth Social, Trump threatened Iran and said he didn't know about Israel's plans for the attack, which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has backed up. We'll hear a report from our correspondent in Jerusalem as the streets of the Old City are now largely deserted with its most sacred Christian, Muslim and Jewish sites closed to the public. And in South Korea, we'll hear how one band's comeback concert in Seoul after a nearly four-year hiatus has fans in a frenzy. t (Photo: People walk near farmland by the Zubair oil field as gas flares rise in the distance; Credit: Essam Al-Sudani/Reuters)
