Iran war: One month on

Weekend

Available for 28 days

It is exactly one month since the US and Israel started Operation Epic Fury in Iran, which shows no signs of abating. Heavy airstrikes on Iran continued overnight, as Israel announced it was carrying out fresh attacks. But the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, said that he expected the military operation to end within weeks. Also in today's programme: Viewers regularly call in to 'Jan e gap', a talk-show programme broadcast from the US into Afghanistan. It is available to about a third of the Afghan population who possess the right satellite service, which the Taliban doesn't control; and why does meningitis still kill people in Britain? Presenter Paul Henley is joined by Arash Azizi, Iranian American historian, lecturer at Yale University and Katja Hoyer, a German-British historian and author, living in the UK.
