Southport sign Matty Challoner & David Fitzpatrick

New manager Alan Wright has added full-backs Matty Challoner and David Fitzpatrick to his Southport squad.

Right-back Challoner left Blackpool at the end of last season, while left-sided defender Fitzpatrick ended last term at non-league club New Mills.

Both have appeared regularly for the Sandgrounders during pre-season.

Wright's side drew 1-1 with Fleetwood, a club he represented as a player, on Saturday, with ex-Cod Army captain Jamie Milligan scoring for Southport.
