Birmingham sign Solis on loan for rest of season

Birmingham City have signed midfielder Jhon Solis on loan from Spanish club Girona for the rest of the season.

The Colombian has made 12 appearances in La Liga this season, and played against Liverpool and Arsenal in the Champions League in 2024-25.

Solis began his career with Atletico Nacional in his home country before moving to Spain in the summer of 2023 and has played 61 games for Girona in total.

Birmingham say he is know for his "ball-winning ability and technical skill-set" and he is their second signing during the current transfer window, following German full-back Kai Wagner.
