Swindon Town will host Plymouth Argyle in the quarter-finals of the Vertu Trophy if they are not thrown out of the competiton for fielding two ineligible players.

The Robins have been charged by the EFL and FA after starting captain Ollie Clarke, who was serving a seven-match ban, and using Aaron Drinan as a substitute despite his name not appearing on the teamsheet for their 2-1 win over Luton Town.

If they are expelled from the competition then Luton will face the Pilgrims at Kenilworth Road.

Twice former winners Port Vale will take on Stockport County at Vale Park.

Vale beat the Hatters in the 1992-93 final and secured their last-eight place in this year's competition with a 1-0 win at Bolton Wanderers.

Doncaster Rovers, this season's top scorers and winners in 2007, will travel to Huddersfield Town in the other North group quarter-final.

AFC Wimbledon face Northampton Town at Plough Lane in the southern half of the draw.
