Crewe have to stop making late errors - Demetriou

Mickey Demetriou joined Crewe from Newport County in July 2023 and will make his 100th league start for the Alex against Barrow

Crewe Alexandra captain Mickey Demetriou says the team have to realise where they have gone wrong in certain games this season and try to not repeat those errors.
The Alex were denied an important win in their League Two play-off challenge last Saturday when Harrogate Town scored a 93rd-minute equaliser to snatch a draw at the Mornflake Stadium.
It was the third time Crewe had conceded a goal after 90 minutes this season and took the number of points they have dropped from winning positions to 14.
Had they not done so, Lee Bell's side, currently 10th, would be second in the table - just one point behind leaders Bromley.
"We've done well this season but we look back on games we've drawn when we could've won, we've lost games that we should've won or drawn - we'd be further up that table," Demetriou told BBC Radio Stoke.
"We have to take responsibility as players to realise where we've gone wrong, what we've done wrong, in those key moments of the game.
"We need to make sure we're on it for the whole 95, 96 minutes of the game and try to not to come off it at any point.
"It's about seeing it in that moment in the game - you can't do anything on the training pitch to help see that moment out with three minutes left.
"We have to make sure we don't do it again - or try no to do it again - because it's frustrating for everyone."

Despite the dropped points, Crewe remain in a good position going into the remainder of season.
With 21 games to play, the Alex are four points off the top seven with only eight points separating Chesterfield in the final play-off spot and Tranmere Rovers in 17th.
"You can see how congested the table is - if a team in the bottom half wins a few they join us in the top half," the 35-year-old said before
"We know we have to be on it [against Barrow]. We need to get the game to be how we want it to be.
"We have to go again. At this time of the season we have to put points on the board."
