The FA Cup is where the excitement is

- Published

The question on every Leeds fan's mind right now: what matters more, winning the FA Cup, or staying up?
It's something I've been thinking about a lot this week, and honestly, my answer might surprise a few people.
Looking at our last four league games, it's been tough. Not just because of results, but because of the overall experience.
The officiating has been frustrating, and at times it's made matches feel stop start and difficult to enjoy.
Add in some of the gamesmanship from opponents, especially in that Sunderland game at home, and it's hard not to feel a bit drained by it all. Right now, the league feels like a slog.
But then there's the FA Cup.
This is where the excitement is. The goals, the energy, the sense of occasion, it's everything that's been missing in the league.
And let's be honest, who wouldn't want a trip to Wembley? Maybe even two.
I've been watching Leeds since I was a young girl, going with my dad, and we've seen it all, promotions, relegations, and plenty of seasons that were more hard work than enjoyment.
But a proper cup run? Quarter-finals? This feels different. This feels special.
Of course, winning it is still a long shot.
There are some huge teams left in the competition. But the opportunity is there, and with a quarter-final against West Ham, though we would all rather be at Elland Road, it does seem that the dream may become a reality.
I hope we have been practicing, you know, shots on target in training the last couple of weeks...
So, for me, right now, it's the FA Cup all the way.
The league might matter in the long run, but football is about moments, and this cup run is giving us something to believe in.
And I can't even begin to explain how excited I am to be in the East End next Sunday.
We want your views on this subject too - which is more important to you, FA Cup glory or Premier League status?
