Montgomery verdict due in October | | Verdicts in the doping cases involving American sprinters Tim Montgomery and Chryste Gaines are expected in October. The Court of Arbitration for Sport said it had completed hearings and would soon begin deliberations. Former 100m world record-holder Montgomery and Gaines are accused of doping by the US Anti-Doping Agency. Both are appealing proposed lifetime bans based on evidence gathered in the criminal investigation of the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative (Balco).
