Daws wins light welterweight belt |  Daws reached the title fight after beating Colin Lynes in an eliminator | Lenny Daws claimed the vacant British light welterweight crown with a hard-fought victory over Nigel Wright at York Hall in Bethnal Green. After a scrappy opening, the Morden fighter, 27, stepped up a gear after the third round and he landed the cleaner shots throughout. Former ABA champion Daws was awarded a unanimous 117-111 points decision. "It's a dream come true," Daws said after the match. "It was a tough fight but to win is just unbelievable."
