Zimbabwe's Nick Price

  Final round scores

Zimbabwe's Nick Price won his first USPGA Tour event in four years to capture the Colonial Championship in Texas on Sunday.

Price held off American rivals David Toms and Kenny Perry

The 45-year-old fired a final round three-under par 67 to finish at 13-under par 267, defeating Americans David Toms and Kenny Perry by five strokes.

Dudley Hart was fourth at 273 with New Zealand's Phil Tataurangi and Davis Love at 274 and five-time British Open champion Tom Watson seventh at 275.

The title was Price's first US triumph since the 1998 St. Jude Classic.

Price said: "For a while there my nerves certainly felt 45 years old."

"But I kept it together, kept my focus out there. My putting wasn't too bad this week. It looked like old times."

Price began the day as he ended the previous round, with a pair of birdies, but followed that up with bogeys on the fifth and sixth holes.

He added a 25-foot birdie putt on the 11th and birdies at the 12th and 14th to secure a five-stroke lead and seal the victory.

A double bogey at the par four 15th ended the chances of reigning PGA champion Toms, while Perry birdied the 14th to fall back.

It was the second Colonial crown for Price, who was ranked number one in the world when he won this event back in 1994.

The Colonial title is Price's 18th US PGA title.
