Sorenstam World Cup bid confirmed |  Sorenstam won last week's Samsung World Championship | Tournament organisers have confirmed that world number one Annika Sorenstam will participate in the 2006 Women's World Cup of Golf. The event will take place at the Gary Player Country Club in South Africa next January and will feature 20 teams over three days of competition. "Having Annika confirmed is an amazing coup for us," said Women's World Cup chief executive Tania Fourie. Sorenstam won the World Championship for a record fifth time on Sunday.
