Birdie run helps Moodie into lead |  | R1 LEADERBOARD -6 J Moodie (GB) -5 E Bastle (US) -4 L Ishii (Jpn) Selected others: -3 J Head (GB), M McKay (GB) -2 M Mallon (US) | A run of four straight birdies helped Janice Moodie take the lead at the Canadian Women's Open after a season's best round of six-under-par 66. She leads Emily Bastel by one shot, with Linda Ishii third and a large group including Johanna Head and Mhairi McKay sharing fourth place. The tournament's defending champion Meg Mallon, shot two-under for a share of 11th place. Tour leader Annika Sorenstam, who has six wins this season, is not competing.
