| Greenkeepers at Ireland's K-Club are preparing for a showdown over pay and working conditions just seven months before the course hosts the Ryder Cup. "There was a change in ownership and management last year and conditions have since deteriorated," claimed Colm Quinlan of the Amicus trade union. He added that a request to discuss the issues with management was rejected. The club said it had a constitutional right not to recognise a union on collective issues.
