 Rory McIlroy was beaten in a play-off at Portmarnock | Rory McIlroy lost out to Finland's Antti Ahokas in a three-hole play-off in the Irish Open Amateur Championship at Portmarnock on Sunday. The 17-year-old from Holywood fired a one-over-par 73 in the final round to force extra holes. Ahokas holed an 18-foot birdie putt on the third play-off hole to claim victory over McIlroy. Jonathan Caldwell of Clandeboye, who was joint overnight leader, finished tied eighth on nine over.
