PICK MYSELF UP By Heather Youel Heather's problems with food started around the time of her GCSEs when she was under a lot of stress. She hid her eating disorder from her family and friends. After a spell in hospital, Heather worked with her mum on ways to recover. She found it helpful to write down her feelings, and also learn more about nutrition and the health benefits, so she could look at food in a positive way.
