Cocaine rise

Despite Class A drug use being largely stable, there have been marked trends in the choice of Class A drugs used in recent years.

Cocaine has overtaken ecstasy as the most widely used Class A drug.

The British Crime Survey found 2.4% of people aged 16-59 in England and Wales reported using cocaine in the past year.
