Twenty-two-year-old Tom Lascelles, currently unemployed, of west London, says it is his right as a taxpayer to smoke in the pub.

�I can understand why Wetherspoons made the decision but I don�t agree with it.

�I like to have a fag with my beer and I shouldn�t be made to go out and stand in the rain if I want to smoke.�
