Where do they go in a sentence?

Qualifiers and intensifiers usually go after the verb they are describing. For example:

  • elle danse beaucoup - she dances a lot
  • il va de moins en moins en ville - he’s going to town less and less
  • je suis extrêmement fatiguée - I am extremely tired
  • ils conduisent trop vite - they are driving too fast
  • j’ai dû parler tellement fort ! - I had to speak so loud!
