ASSASSINATION OF JFK: 50 YEARS ON
Friday November 22nd marks 50 years to the day since the former President of the United States, John F. Kennedy was assassinated during a visit to Dallas, Texas. Kinky Friedman goes back to Dealey Plaza 30 years later on the hunt for Kennedy's memorial
ANT AND DEC MAROONED TOGETHER ON DESERT ISLAND DISCS
Ant and Dec are the only pair of castaways to appear on Desert Island Discs since Spitting Image creators Luck and Flaw were marooned together on the 1987 show. Arena is currently in production on a film to mark the 30th anniversary of Spitting Image. This clip looks back on 1980 film made about caricaturists Roger Law and Peter Fluck and their work prior to Spitting Image.
FRANCIS BACON PAINTING SOLD FOR RECORD PRICE
A painting by Francis Bacon of his friend and fellow artist Lucian Freud has sold at auction in New York for 142 million dollars, making it the highest price ever reached at auction. Arena filmed a meeting between William Burroughs and Francis Bacon at Bacon's London home in 1982. This rare footage has never been broadcast and shows the pair discussing their views on painting.
