Leader Board: Semi-Final
Our five Strictly Semi-Finalists smashed it tonight, giving their all in two fabulous routines each, in their bid to make it to the Strictly 2015 Finals! Weâve seen Jay and Aliona emerge from a TARDIS in a Doctor Who inspired dance (which you can go back in time and watch again without the need of a TARDIS by clicking here), as well as some particularly interesting party-starting choreography from Anita and Gleb! But which four couples will make it through to the Finals and be in with the chance of taking home the coveted Strictly Glitterball Trophy next Saturday night?! To help you decide, hereâs a quick recap of the highs and lows of the Leader Board this week!

In top spot are Kellie and Kevin, who performed two cracking routines, scoring the highest marks for both. Their first dance â a Rumba to Eva Cassidyâs âSongbirdâ â which scored 34 points (joint-highest alongside Jay and Alionaâs Viennese Waltz) was praised highly by all the Judges. Len commented that there was a wobble but âwithout that, I was struggling to fault itâ, and Craig added: âTechnically, that was absolutely brilliant⌠almost perfect!â For their second dance, Kellie and Kevin performed an American Smooth to Nat King Coleâs âLetâs Face the Music and Danceâ. And that they certainly did! Darcey complemented: âThat was heaven!â and Len agreed: âAs soon as you walked out and had that look of bewilderment I said to myself: âIâm gonna love this!ââ. He then said: âTonight is all about who should get to the Final. 100% if youâre not there, wellâŚâ and with the shake of his head, it was clear Len believes there wonât be trouble ahead for Kellie and Kevin this weekend!
Katie and Anton unfortunately found themselves at the opposite end of the Leader Board with a total of 56 points (and bottom scores for both of their dances.) Their first performance â a Charleston to âToo Darn Hotâ â proved to be a tad too darn hard for Katie. Len said: âThe song was hot; you looked hot; but the dance was not... It wasnât slick enough; some of the lifts were a bit clumsy; you looked as though you were outside your comfort zone.â Luckily they managed to score a few more points (31 in total) for their second dance: a Waltz to âO Mio Babbino Caroâ by Giacomo Puccini, but despite the improvement, they still ended up bottom of the board for the second time tonight. Though Craig complemented: âI really enjoyed it and thought you redeemed yourself. darlingâ, Len thought it was too wobbly, saying: âItâs breaking my heart to say this and I know itâs breaking yours, but it was just unstableâ. Bruno added: âIt has to be perfect and it wasnât my darlingâ.
