Daytime and early peak commissioning

We are home to a portfolio of content spanning factual, factual entertainment, quiz, entertainment and drama on BBC One up to and including The One Show, and up to 7pm on BBC Two.

Daytime and early peak titles are seeing an increased performance on iPlayer, year-on-year growth on the linear schedule, and awards success, with shows like Make It at Market, Morning Live, Escape to the Country, Scam Interceptors and Joanna Page’s Wild Life all winning accolades.

Viewers continue to spend more time with us than any other genre, and while long-running favourites like Bargain Hunt and Homes Under the Hammer remain an essential part of the mix, we’re always keen to find room for fresh ideas that continue to evolve our output. Last year we commissioned 14 new titles from a range of suppliers right across the UK, and – for the right ideas - there are still potential opportunities available.
