Postman Harry (Neil Dudgeon) is the hero of the hour when, on his rounds, he saves Roisin (Maria Doyle Kennedy) from dying during an asthma attack. There's an undeniable spark between the pair, which is more than there's been between Harry and wife Kathy (Eva Pope) for a long tim, despite them celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary.
But any temptation to stray is nipped firmly in the bud by a car accident which puts Kathy in a coma and leaves Harry and their two children distraught.
Kathy's accident poses more problems than simply medical ones – not least when Harry finds unsigned love letters and anonymous illicit texts on her phone.
Harry resolves to track down the author, and is shocked to discover its his boss, and supposed best mate Charlie (Hugo Speer). This leads to a brawl in the sorting office, but they keep the truth from the rest of the lads. Except Radge (Cal Macininch) who works out what's been going on. But he's convinced to keep quiet as Charlie has evidence of Radge's work-related misdemeanours.
Meanwhile, at work, new postman Jack (Mark Womack) is keeping himself to himself. All the lads are curious, especially Dex (Dean Lennox Kelly) who is convinced Jack has something dark to hide.
