Words and Music is one of BBC Radio Three’s most cherished treasures – a continuous, carefully-woven tapestry of words and music exploring a single theme or idea. As part of the BBC Symphony Orchestra’s day of Total Immersion in music and wellbeing, musicians from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama perform live with celebrated actors in a special, one-off edition of the programme devoted to words of comfort: music, poetry and prose to soothe the soul.
