The band take their name from what used to be the entertainment capital of the world 'Belle Vue' & its famous musical hall which played host to the likes of the Buzzcocks & The Stranglers. The band sound is a cross between 'The Stooges' & 'The Dorrs' with a slice of 'Iggy Pop' put in for good measure and they regularly at the Palace Nightclub in the village. Pete Wrigley the lead singer of the band lives with his young family in the centre of Levenshulme and grew up with Noel Gallagher of 'Oasis' fame. The band are one of the headline acts at this years 24rockfest 3 Day Rock Party which features the UK's top 40 hot new bands. Belle Vue will play the launch on Friday 20th June at the Palace Nightclub and headline the end of festival gig at Wythenshawe Park on Sunday 22 June. An estimated 10,000 fans will be attending the outdoor gigs in the park and the event is in aid of the Kirsty Howard Appeal for Francis House Childrens Hospice.
