Man stabbed in targeted street attack
GoogleA 63-year-old man has been seriously injured after being stabbed on a footpath in Clackmannanshire.
The attack took place at about 19:05 on Tuesday in Holton Crescent, Sauchie.
The man was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment.
Detectives said they believe it was a targeted attack and have issued a description of a suspect.
He is white, aged 35 to 45, about 6ft (1.83m) tall, of medium build, with a red or auburn beard.
He was wearing a dark blue hooded jumper, dark trousers and white trainers.
It is believed he fled the scene in a dark SUV with a lighter-coloured roof box.
Police said CCTV inquiries were ongoing and officers are appealing for the help of the public to identify the man.
Det Con Jenna Alexander said: "We are following a positive line of inquiry and want to reassure the local community that we are using all resources available to find the person responsible for this attack.
"There will be an increased police presence in the area and anyone with concerns can approach these officers."
