Three men have appeared in court charged with the murder of film student Finbar Sullivan, who was stabbed to death on Primrose Hill, north London.

Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27, appeared at the Old Bailey and is accused of punching the 21-year-old, before kicking or stamping towards his head while he was on the ground before he was stabbed.

Ogunyankinnu is yet to enter pleas but a provisional trial date was set for April next year.

Alexis Bidace, 25, of Fore Street, Edmonton and Ernest Boateng, 25, of Keswick Drive, Enfield, appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court and were remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday.

A fourth man, Khalid Abdulqadir, was charged with grievous bodily harm, violent disorder and possession of a knife and appeared in court on Tuesday.

He is next due to appear at Inner London Crown Court for a plea hearing on 12 May.

The Metropolitan Police was called to Primrose Hill following reports of a fight at the popular beauty spot shortly after 18:30 on 7 April.

Sullivan was found with stab wounds and was treated by paramedics, but he died at the scene.

A second man, in his 20s, was discovered by officers on nearby Regent's Park Road with stab wounds that were not life-changing.

Sullivan, who was known as Fin to friends and family, was a student at the London Screen Academy.

His father, Chris Sullivan, 65, previously told BBC London: "All of his friends said he was the light, the leader. His friends' parents loved him.

"This is why it's so tragic," he said.

A police investigation is ongoing.
