Cyclist dies after crash with car

A 40-year-old cyclist has died after a crash in Grimsby.

Police were called to reports of a collision involving a bicycle and a red Toyota Prius on Eleanor Street at the junction with Hainton Avenue at about 03:55 GMT on Thursday.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but died later the same morning, Humberside Police said.

The force asked witnesses or anyone with footage of the incident to get in touch.
