A motorist has been arrested for drink driving after he called for help when he broke down in his car on a motorway.

Lancashire Police said the "ranting and raving" driver rang National Highways for help after he had broken down at 14:00 GMT on 5 February near Leyland in Lancashire.

He was then found to be more than three times the legal drink drive limit after a roadside breath test.

A 39-year-old, of Accrington, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
