People in parts of Norfolk have been treated to a dazzling appearance of the Northern Lights.

BBC Weather Watchers captured some stunning pictures on Friday night and into the early hours of Saturday, including on the coast in Cromer, Happisburgh and Horsey.

The aurora borealis is caused by the interaction of the solar wind - a stream of charged particles escaping the Sun - and our planet's magnetic field and atmosphere.
