A van driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving after a motorcyclist died following a collision.

Norfolk Police was called to the A10 at South Runcton after a collision involving a white Ford Transit Connect travelling towards Downham Market and a yellow BMW K1200 going northbound at about 07:00 BST on Tuesday.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, where he died the following day.

A man in his 30s, the driver of the van, was arrested at the scene and has been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

The force appealed for information from anyone who witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle, or who has dashcam footage.
