The second victim of a plane crash in which two men were killed was "the most humble, kind man you'll ever meet", his family have said.

Mustafa Qays Obadey, 39, from Greenford, London, died after the aircraft crashed in farmland in Littleborough Rochdale on Tuesday, having taken off from Birmingham earlier in the day.

In a tribute his family said: "[He was] the most humble, kind man you'll ever meet. A man made of peace."

It comes after a tribute from the family of the second victim, Arian Abbasi, a pilot who had been due to start his dream job as an airline pilot before the crash.

The small Cirrus SR 20 plane came down close to the M62, and triggered a major emergency response.

A spokesperson for his family said Obadey was "the glue of the family and community".

"Always available and accepting for everyone. Thank you Mustafa."

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said investigations into the crash remain ongoing after a missing part of the parachute system was discovered earlier.
