Gardaí identify man left in critical condition after Dublin attack
RTÉA man left in a critical condition following an attack in Dublin's Temple Bar has been identified after a public appeal.
An Garda Síochána (Irish police) said the man was brought to Beaumont Hospital after the assault which occurred at Cope Street on Wednesday at about 00:30 local time.
Two men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested on Friday evening in connection with the investigation.
Gardaí had released an image of a tattoo the injured man had on his right forearm as part of their appeal to identify him.
Anyone who was in the area of Cope Street between midnight and 01:00 local time on Wednesday or mobile or dash-cam footage relating to the incident is asked to contact gardaí.
