Sunny day brightens wet and wild week

The latter part of the week brought bright blue skies to Cumbria

Once again it has been a wet and windy week across the north-east of England and Cumbria - although there was some welcome sunshine on Saturday.

And as always weather BBC Weather Watchers have been out in force.
