Fifth arrest over man's death at home
Warwickshire PoliceA fifth person has been arrested in connection with the death of a man at a house in Kenilworth.
Carl Stephens, 45, was confirmed dead after emergency services were called to a home on Chestnut Avenue, just before midnight on 20 March.
A 51-year-old woman from Solihull was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and released on bail until June, Warwickshire Police said.
Three people, Patricia Dowling, 49, of Chestnut Avenue, Lewis Dowling, 24, of Yarnfield Road, Birmingham, and a 16-year-old boy from Kenilworth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have all been charged with his murder and remain in custody.
The trio are set to appear at Warwick Crown Court on 20 May.
A 72-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender was released on bail while inquiries continued, the force previously said.
In a tribute issued by police, Stephens' family thanked the local community for their support.
"Our family is completely devastated by this and will be forever heartbroken," they said.
