A man sustained fatal chest and pelvis injuries following an incident at the Tata Steel plant, an inquest has heard.

Kenneth Campbell, 55, died at the site in Corby, Northamptonshire, on 13 January.

Senior coroner Anne Pember opened the inquest into his death at Northampton Guildhall earlier and said Campbell died of "chest and pelvis injuries pending toxicology".

Pember has adjourned the inquest until 30 August.

Campbell's line manager formally identified his body, which has not yet been released, the inquest heard.

Tata Steel confirmed work had started up again at its Corby site.
