Girl hurt as metal falls from shopping centre roof

A teenage girl has been injured after a sheet of metal fell from a shopping centre roof in Milton Keynes.

Thames Valley Police said officers supported ambulance crews at Midsummer Place at about 14:30 GMT.

A force spokesperson said the girl was receiving medical treatment for "serious injuries".

They added: "A cordon is in place and we thank the public for their patience while we help deal with this incident."

Midsummer Place has been approached for comment.
