Man sold fake Taylor Swift tickets on Facebook and Gumtree
PA MediaA man has admitted selling fake tickets to Taylor Swift's concerts through Facebook and Gumtree.
Jordan Moore also fraudulently sold greyhound equipment and admitted conning seven people out of £5,000 between November 2023 and March 2025.
The 32-year-old, from Smithy Lane in Ellesmere Port, is due to be sentenced at Chester Crown Court on 27 March.
Cheshire Police said: "While the internet now makes it much easier to sell items, unfortunately, as we've seen in this case, it also makes it easier for dishonest sellers to defraud victims."
They added that Moore was "well aware that what he was doing was wrong but he thought that he would be able to outsmart his victims and avoid justice".
He pleaded guilty to five counts related to the fraudulent sale of Taylor Swift concert tickets and two charges concerning the fraudulent sale of greyhound equipment.
