Witness appeal following fatal motorcycle crash

Kent Police has released an image of a blue Ford Fiesta, as they believe the occupants may have witnessed the moments following the crash on Saturday in Pembury

A new image has been released by officers investigating a fatal crash.

The incident happened at about 18:40 GMT on Saturday on the A228 Pembury Northern Bypass, close to the junction for Old Church Road in Kent.

Kent Police said it would like to speak to the occupants of a blue Ford Fiesta, believing they may have witnessed the moments following the crash.

A spokesperson for the police said: "The vehicle stopped at the Esso petrol station on the junction of the Pembury Bypass at about 18.41 GMT."

The crash involved a black Triumph motorcycle and a light-coloured Jaguar car that were both travelling towards Tunbridge Wells, and a silver Ford van heading in the opposite direction.

A male rider of the motorcycle aged in his 30s and his passenger, a woman also in her 30s, were both died at the scene.

Kent Police said next of kin have been informed.

It added that inquiries are ongoing and it is continuing to appeal for witnesses.
