Annan has 'constructive' talks with Syria's Assad
UN and Arab League's envoy to Syria, Kofi Annan, says he has held "candid and constructive" talks with President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus.
He told journalists that Mr Assad had agreed to "an approach" to end the violence, which Mr Annan said he would also share with the armed opposition.
