Gaza crisis: Kerry urges 'humanitarian' ceasefire

US Secretary of State John Kerry has called for a "humanitarian ceasefire" following his recent trip to the Middle East.

It comes as UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon urged an immediate halt to the violence in Gaza.

"A humanitarian ceasefire is the best way to be able to begin to negotiate...a sustainable ceasefire," Mr Kerry said.
