Trayvon Martin murder suspect George Zimmerman's trial to begin

Jury selection is due to begin in the trial of a neighbourhood watch volunteer accused of murdering a black teenager in Florida.

George Zimmerman denies the charges, saying he shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in an act of self defence.

The teenager's family and their supporters believe he was killed because he was black.
