Tiny Takeover gets a release date

The babies are coming!
Back in January players got their first look at the new baby mobs heading to the game, from chicks, to turtles and even Villagers!
Now, Mojang has announced when that update will be dropping for fans.
The baby mobs will be joining the game in the Tiny Takeover update on 24 March 2026.
"Tiny Takeover is one of the biggest cosmetic updates we've done," said gameplay tech lead Felix Jones during the show, "and we have over a hundred of these baby mobs."
Minecraft Dungeons 2 announced

A sequel is on the way
A big surprise for fans came with the annoucement of Minecraft Dungeons 2.
The original game was released back in 2020 and allowed players to team up with their friends to explore dungeons and battle mobs as wizards and knights.
The new action-adventure game is a sequel to the first and the reveal trailer hints that fans might get to find out what's behind the secret portal in the ancient city.
The game will be released in autumn 2026, on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and Steam.
New Biome - Chaos Cubed

Meet Minecraft's newest mob - the sulphur cube
Fans also got a sneak peek at the next big update coming to the game called Chaos Cubed.
It features a new biome full of stinky caves, with toxic pools that cause dizzying effects if players get too close.
There will also be two new block sets – cinnabar and sulphur - and it wouldn't be a new update without a new mob - the sulphur cube.
Unlike any other mob in the game, the sulphur cube can absorb blocks, changing the way it looks and acts depending on what it's consumed.
Mojang say that the Chaos Cubed update will drop sometime later in 2026.
New multiplayer experiences

Minecraft is introducing a new way to play with friends and family together
Mojang said it was introducing a new feature to the game to allow players to form multi-player groups with friends and family - called Parties.
In the bedrock version of the game players will be able to jump between vanilla worlds and realms with a group of pals together.
They also said that new free-to-play multi-player experiences such as mazes and treasure hunts would be heading to the game.
Parties will be heading to the Bedrock version of the game in summer 2026.
Minecraft World coming to a UK theme park

The first-ever Minecraft attraction at a theme park is coming
Finally, during the livestream it was also revealed that the first-ever official Minecraft-inspired land would be coming to a UK-theme park in 2027.
Minecraft World will be based at Chessington World of Adventures in south-west London.
The area will feature the first ever Minecraft rollercoaster, the world's biggest Minecraft shop, Minecraft-themed food, and opportunities to meet mobs from the game.
The new area is a collaboration between Mojang Studios and Merlin Entertainments, and Minecraft YouTubers like Grian, LDShadowLady, Aimsey and Dan TDM have helped to design some of the features in the park.
