Some of the biggest stars in music have been announced in the line-up for Radio 1's Big Weekend this year!

The Big Weekend is a huge music festival organised by BBC Radio 1, and it's held in a different location in the UK each year.

In 2026 the event will take place at Herrington Country Park, in Sunderland, from Friday 22 May - Sunday 24 May.

Last year more than 100,000 music fans flocked to Liverpool's Sefton Park for the festival.

Singers like Ed Sheeran and Jade Thirwall have performed at the event previously, but who will be on the main stage this year? Take a look below to find out...

Award-winning singer Olivia Dean will headline - which means to be the last or biggest performer at an event - on the final day of the Big Weekend.

She will be joined on Sunday by former One Direction star Niall Horan and American singer Kehlani.

On Saturday, Zara Larsson, Louis Tomlinson and Lola Young will perform on the main stage.

Singers FLO, CMAT, Myles Smith, Ellie Goulding, James Blake, Skye Newman, Rachel Chinouriri, and Mitski will also be performing at the big music festival.

DJs Fatboy Slim and Sonny Fodera will perform on the Friday.

Tickets for Friday went on sale last week, and those for Saturday and Sunday will go on sale from Wednesday 11 March.

As with previous Big Weekend festivals, tickets will be prioritised for people who live nearby.

So, what that means is: 30 percent of tickets will be saved for people living in Sunderland; 60 percent will be saved for people living in the nearby area; and the last 10 percent of tickets will be available for the rest of the UK.

General tickets for Saturday and Sunday will cost £44.50 per day, while VIP will cost £106.00.
