Film Synopsis: Champ faces his self doubts about his ability to fly
after his lady love leaves him. A story with a heart
told in eloquent black and white animation.

Congratulations to Stephen who has been selected in the Music Video category for the British Animation Awards 2008 with this film.

Training / education? I’m a graduate of Central St Martins College of Art & Design (MA Communication Design). Previous to that I studied Electronic Imaging at Bradford University.

Most looking forward to in your New Music Shorts film? This is my first music video so I’m looking forward to the challenge of making a film that does such a good song justice. I’m also looking forward to working with Warp Films and having my work screened at the Electric Proms.

What made you choose 'Dry Lips'? I like the story it tells (or at least the story I think it tells). It’s full of provocative lyrics that immediately inspired the story I’m telling with the visuals.

Best thing about being in the film industry? I can go to the park whenever I want (within reason).

Worst thing about being in the film industry? Not always knowing where next months rent is coming from. And not having anyone to go to the park with because all my friends have proper jobs.
